General thunderstorms are forecast across the central Mediterranean Sea

SYNOPSIS

Wednesday at 06 Z... a mid/upper ridge over the British Isles is expected to move eastsoutheastward reaching southern Scandinavia at the end of the forecast period. A mid/upper trough is approaching the British Isles from the west reaching England at the end of the forecast period. Near a vertically stacked low-pressure system over the central Mediterranean, air-masses are locally slightly unstable. Scattered and locally clustered thunderstorms are expected in this area. The low instability and low to moderate wind shear suggest the severe threat of these storms is low.
